What skills and qualifications do our Maintenance Techs need?
Traveling Maintenance Techs must have 5 or more years of experience in maintenance operations. A technical degree or certification in a related mechanical field is preferred.
You'll need to be comfortable stepping into various manufacturing environments and be physically able to handle the physical nature of the job for 12-hour shifts.
Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and the ability to work safely around heavy machinery and hazardous materials is a must.
The skills needed for Maintenance Techs will vary by industry and plant, but usually include:
- Proficiency in repairing and maintaining mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
