Security

MADI's security division provides labor dispute security for our clients facing potential labor actions.

Labor Dispute Services

As part of the Business Continuation Plan, MADI security personnel will conduct an on-site review of your facility and the surrounding area in order to recommend an appropriate security response to a potential labor dispute. This process yields a comprehensive Security Resource Plan incorporated into the Business Continuation Plan.  Our security services include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Asset and Executive Protection

  • Tactical Security

  • Professional Evidence Gathering & Management

Asset and executive protection requirements are evaluated during the site visit.  Information gathered regarding the climate of the union negotiations, as well as individual client concerns, are incorporated into a complete package of protection.

Tactical security personnel assume responsibility for functions such as access control, perimeter and escort security.  This team provides 24-hour security for the facility, and any off-site locations.  Tactical response may be escalated or de-escalated based upon the nature of the strike activity.

Evidence gathering and management is of paramount importance, as many organizations must present this information in a court of law to continue production during a work stoppage. All acts of violence and any violations of court orders are recorded by our team of security personnel. The evidence, collected in a "court admissible" format, is presented to your labor counsel. This material could be utilized in criminal, civil, and/or National Labor Relations Board hearings.

The Security Resource Plan sets forth a timeline of recommended security actions prior to the potential mobilization of the tactical group.  This includes

  • Manpower requirements,

  • Recommendations for operational adjustments that should be made prior to or during a work stoppage, and

  • Background information about strike operations.

Should a client have an existing relationship with another security entity, we will work with this third party to ensure that all security concerns are maintained from the onset of the project to its completion.
